Belt History Department

     8th Grade History covers the story of America, beginning in the days before Columbus and continuing through to modern times.  Geographic, political, and cultural changes are traced through the lens of causes, course, and consequences.  The course material is basically the same as what we teach in 11th Grade, however, the depth of study is not as comprehensive.

     Student also catalog their individual topics of research by developing a web site as a portfolio of their work.  Maps are a big part of this course, including both U.S. and world geography.  Those study maps on the geography page of this site.
