National Debt

Modern America

September 11th, 2001 changed America and the world.  In addition to the terrorist tragedies that befell the east coast of the United States, the global dynamic was vastly transformed relative to what Americans had come to expect.  In many ways, the modern world is more complicated that the "Good Old Days" of the Cold War.

In addition to the obvious threat of global terror, the coming American generations are faced with a good many new issues, including: a changing American and world economy, ecological concerns, national debt, nuclear proliferation, immigration, as well as unresolved soical and racial issues within the country to name a few.

It will be a stern test, but if the study of the last two hundred and forty years have taught anything, it is that the United States of America is adept at evolving to meet the challenges it faces.  It will be the task of Generation Y (or whatever trendy term the reader prefers) to adapt to those changes to keep America at the forefront of gobal success.
