The photographs in this album are a generous gift from the family of Mr. Jay B. Densmore.  Mr. Densmore lived in Belt in the 1910’s and early 1920’s, when he worked for the Belt Valley Times.  He and his wife Helena M. Densmore (O’Conner) lived in Belt with their three daughters, Catherine, Vera, and Helen.  The collection of pictures was in his family’s possession for about a century, and in 2020 his great-grandson Michael Hunt delivered them to the Belt Museum.  Enjoy these glimpses of Belt History from the turn of the 20th Century!  Hopefully you find a personal connection to the past.
